Work Environment

We work in Haus Bloch at Susenbergstrasse 157, which is the highest road that crosses the Zürichberg. Georges Bloch was a highly-regarded member of the Jewish community in Zürich. He became famous and was revered as a collector of a complete collection of graphics by Pablo Picasso, who was a friend of his, and also as a co-author of books about Picasso's graphic and ceramic works.

The six work rooms are on the ground floor of the house, at the point where it is built on a slope. These rooms are used for consultations, teaching, conversation and writing - all this surrounded by a collection of modern art which is expanding to the rafters and is focused on drawings and sculptures - a "musée appartement". As part of the academic, didactic and cultural encounters, the terrace and living room that give out on to the lake and the mountains are as it were included in the landscape. Susenbergstrasse is 5 minutes away from the city centre and 15 minutes from the airport. It is all intended to act as a counterpoint to Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse.
